These concentrated, paste paints have been prepared specifically
for the suminagashi style of marbling, using pure pigments with
a glue binder. They should be diluted approximately 1:1 with water.
Available colors are: black, indigo, red. We use ox gall as a dispersant to facilitate spread
of color, when needed, but Sumifactant, and other dispersants can
be used as well. Colors can be mixed
to create additional hues. These paints float well, often needing no
additional dispersant, and they can be used with many western papers without
the need to prepare the papers with alum.
